RuPaul boards the big screen in Stop! That! Train! alongside Drag Race stars - here's all about it

RuPaul is a drag queen and actor in Hollywood who has been active in the entertainment industry for several years. He has been judging the television reality show RuPaul's Drag Race and has also acted in films. Recently, it was announced that he will be starring in a forthcoming feature film called Stop! That! Train! It will be in the action comedy and drama genre.

RuPaul to star in Stop! That! Train!

As per Deadline, RuPaul will be featuring in an upcoming film called Stop! That! Train! The action comedy flick is directed by Adam Shakman, and it will be released by Universal Pictures on May 29, 2026, in North America.

Besides RuPaul, it will also star names like Monét X Change, Ginger Minj, Latrice Royale, Jujubee, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Symone, and Marcia Marcia Marcia. Most of them are also a part of the Drag Race universe.

The film is about two people, Tess (played by Ginger Minj) and DeeDee (Jujubee) are best friends and work as train stewardesses. As they are working on the Glamazonian Express, a storm nearly derails the train. The two then decide to work together with the first-class passengers to save lives. Its official synopsis, as per IMDb, reads:

Two train stewardess BFFs switch from a dull railway to the luxurious Glamazonian Express. During a massive storm, they must work with snooty first-class crew and President Gagwell to prevent disaster in LA.

The film is written by Christina Friel and Connor Wright, while RuPaul, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, and Adam Shankman are producers. Its production banners include World of Wonder, Bleecker Street, and Universal Pictures. Unapologetic Projects is serving as its executive producer.

In an official statement, Shakman said:

“I’ve had the greatest time shooting Stop! That! Train!! with some of the most hilarious and game people out there, and we can’t wait to bring it to audiences nationwide next May. I know I’ve needed to laugh now more than ever, and if you’re not howling during this one, I’m pretty sure you’re made of coal and possibly a descendant of the Grinch family!”

Stop! That! Train! will be released on May 29 next year.
