Black Panther 3 has been confirmed by its director, Ryan Coogler. The third entry in the overall franchise is going to be a sequel to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The latter was released in 2022. The first one starred Chadwick Boseman, whose untimely death in 2020 led makers to make changes in the sequel. All these titles are a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Coogler is the director of both installments and has recently revealed that he is working on a third title. He was in attendance for an event dedicated to his film Sinners, where he spilled some beans for the third entry.“If it was anybody but you, I would say, ‘I can neither confirm or deny, but we’re working on it hard.”In November last year, Denzel Washington revealed that Coogler is writing a part for him in the third installment. Washington wrote,"Ryan Coogler is writing a part for me in the next Black Panther."This year in March, Coogler confirmed this news and said,“I’m dying to work with Denzel and I’m hoping we can make that happen. I got every intention of working with him in that movie and as long as he’s interested — it’s going to happen."When asked how long viewers will have to wait for the film. Coogler said:“Not long.”Chadwick Boseman had played the titular character in the maiden Black Panther. It was released in 2018 and created history by becoming the most profitable film by a Black director. The film was also largely praised by critics. It was also bestowed with several Oscar nominations, winning in three categories.However, Boseman died in 2020 because of colon cancer. By that time, the makers were working on a sequel, which went through several changes. It was finally released as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022. The makers dedicated it to Boseman.Coogler's most recent directorial venture was the period vampire horror film Sinners. He teamed up with his long-time collaborator, Michael B. Jordan. The result was a big box office and critical success for the film.
