Shaquille O’Neal jokes he would act for Arnold Schwarzenegger for just $1

Shaquille O’Neal is offering his acting services to Arnold Schwarzenegger for just $1.

The Diesel, though mostly known for his athletic prowess, is also a famous actor, and he's reportedly keen on working with the former bodybuilder next. He recently extended an invitation to Schwarzenegger to join him on his Netflix series FUBAR.

In a new episode of his podcast, Shaq asked the 77-year-old action legend:

“So I need you to put on your producers and your writers hat. If you were to give me a CIA role in FUBAR season 3, what would that role be?”

Arnold Schwarzenegger, known for his roles in The Terminator and Twins, quipped:

“I would just have you be in charge of some continent, and then we work together. You know, all of a sudden, I get the call from you and we have a big problem over here and the only way we can do to fix it is if you all work together and then I will call my buddies together then I will come in and then you and I will be kicking some serious a–.”

Shaq chimed in,

If you need me for season 3, I am available,” to which Arnold Schwarzenegger said, “I will immediately tell them. I’ll say Shaq is in, we have to use him."

The two men then discussed their financial compensations:

“Tell them my fee is $1. Anything for you, you know that,” Shaq joked, prompting Arnold to offer more than that: “No, no, they have enough money to pay you.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal have long been friends, having met for the first time in 1993 in Planet Hollywood. Years later, the former would come to remember their encounter as one that left him speechless.

At the time, the sportsman had just begun carving out a name for himself as a rookie for the Orlando Magic. In one of the matches against the New York Knicks, Arnold Schwarzenegger was sitting courtside. According to Basketball Network, a reporter had asked him what he thought of the 7'1", 300-pound man, to which he revealed they had just met before the game during lunch.

At the time, Arnold Schwarzenegger recalled feeling stumped to learn of just how big of an appetite the NBA player had before adding that he noticed Shaq was smart when they spoke.

"I think this is a whole new dimension; it seems to me," he said at the time. "He came over today to Planet Hollywood, and he ate his lunch there. I'm telling you the waitresses went and kept bringing food, one meal after the other, and he must have eaten like 10 meals which is staggering the way this guy devoured it."

He added,

"He burns it off playing basketball, practicing, and all this; that is why he has such a low percentage of body fat and looks straight. He is really well-proportioned, and the great thing about it all is that he is a wonderful guy and a very smart guy that has it together. I think he is really going to go far."
