Adam Brody has made a career resurgence thanks to his role in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This alongside Kristen Bell. In an exclusive conversation with People Magazine, Adam Brody recently spoke about his relationship with wife Leighton Meester, and how things have progressed between the pair after over a decade of marriage. He then spoke on what she will add to season two of his hit show, as she will be doing the cast for its sophomore run:
"I'm always impressed, and I'm always so proud. It's fun to bring her in and show off her talents."
Brody continued to gush over his wife Leighton's tremendous abilities:
"She does it all. I think she surprises me with how funny she is, and then, at the same time, can go as deep as anyone."
The addition of Leighton Meester should bolster the show with even more chemistry from its main cast, an aspect of the show that was already heavily praised after the first season.

Adam Brody set to work with wife Leighton Meester on Nobody Wants This Season Two
Adam Brody has won a Critics' Choice award and SAG and Golden Globe nominations for his portrayal of Noah on the show. The entire team is hoping to carry that momentum forward into the upcoming Emmys.
The formal announcement of Leighton Meester joining the cast came to light in February. Before this, the real-life couple had starred together in 2023's River Wild, and Adam Brody had a recurring role on her former ABC sitcom Single Parents. The Gossip Girl alum is set to join as a guest star in the role of Abby, described by Netflix as an "Instagram mommy influencer" who is the middle school nemesis of Kristen Bell's Joanne character.
Miles Fowler will also be joining as a guest star as a potential love interest for Justine Lupe's character, Morgan, and his character will be on Noah’s basketball team, the Matzah Ballers.
Despite Adam Brody and Bell’s on-screen chemistry and the kiss they share at the end of season one, Meester made it clear with representatives from Access Hollywood that she was fully on board with everything. Bell’s husband, actor Dax Shepard, shared a similar mentality with her regarding the show. She told E News in October last year:
"My husband said the same thing. Like, watching the first episode he was like, ‘Oh my god, I want you to kiss him so badly.'"
The addition of Leighton Meester alongside other talented actors only furthered the expectations for the show's next run of episodes. Hopefully, it will deliver on the expectations.
