"She knows and she does this" — Khloé Kardashian reveals how her daughter’s prank triggered her phobia

Khloé Kardashian's daughter True knows just what makes her mother tick.

The Khloé in Wonderland host, 40, took to her Instagram Stories this Thursday, May 29, to share a video of her seven-year-old daughter pranking her.

“True is really into charms and she loves accessorizing her backpack, and apparently she loves accessorizing my purse because I just saw that she put this on my purse – this whale key chain,” Kardashian, 40, said, as she panned the camera to a blue, bedazzled whale chain on her Louis Vuitton bag.

As reported by People Magazine, Khloé Kardashian, who has long been vocal about her fear of whales, added:

“She knows and she does this. Because we have unicorn keychains, or hearts, or puppies, or anything. She gives me a whale. Oh, I can’t wait until she gets out of school, and I get to ask her about the whale. Why?”

When True came back home from school, Khloé Kardashian uploaded another video of her, clutching a pink, bedazzled unicorn charm. When the latter asked her daughter what she was holding, she explained:

"I have this unicorn that mommy gave me."

Kardashian questioned her further,

"Is it to replace this wackadoodle? Should I just tell you that I love whales? I should tell you that."

As reported by Yard Barker, back in 2023, the Good American founder took to X to voice her fear of the mammal, as she penned:

"This has been a phobia of mine for years. I don’t want anything bad to happen to whales and I know the phobia is totally irrational, but we don’t pick our phobias. I low-key have a fear of the ocean, but a whale I can’t even look at, it freaks me out so much. Oh my God, is that relatable? I hope so because I feel like such an idiot, admitting that it freaks me the f*** out. They are ginormous, and we discover new species all the time. Over 80% of our oceans are unchartered. That’s f***ing bananas! We don’t even know what’s in there."

She went on,

Khloé Kardashian shares two children with Tristan Thompson, True and Tatum, though she has long parted ways with him after news broke out that he had cheated on her on several occasions. However, the Khloud Popcorn founder continues to maintain a familial tie with the latter's brother, Amari Thompson.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum recently took to her Instagram Stories to share photos of herself with Amari at his dance recital. She posted photos of him sitting in his wheelchair as he performed on stage with his classmates and dance teachers.

Entertainment Now has reported that Amari Thompson, who is now 18 years old, deals with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which is a rare form of epilepsy. It entails round-the-clock care. Tristan was appointed as his legal guardian after their mother, Andrea, succumbed to a heart attack two years ago.
