All set for the second leg of her Short n' Sweet tour, Sabrina Carpenter has chosen Transgender Law Center as one of the beneficiaries of her official fund, the homepage of which describes the endowment as:

"A partnership between Sabrina Carpenter and PLUS1 that supports causes related to mental health, animal welfare, and LGBTQ+ rights."

The news first broke on X by Pop Base.

Transgender Law Center (TLC) expressed gratitude to the gesture and issued a statement soon after:

"The Sabrina Carpenter Fund will directly support TLC's Legal Information Helpdesk, which responds to more than 2,200 requests annually and the training of more than 400 trans leaders through programs like the Disability Project, Black Trans Circles, and Positively Trans - driving the Trans Agenda for Liberation forward."

The Sabrina Carpenter Fund also counts LGBT National Help Center, The Jed Foundation, and Best Friends Animal Society as its beneficiaries.

The Internet Reacts to Sabrina Carpenter

Netizens were quick to hop on X (formerly known as Twitter) and support Carpenter's decision. With reactions mostly leaning towards support of her actions, her fans were seemingly not very surprised, as the pop star is known to voice her support for marginalized communities.

A user rejoiced in Carpenter's legacy, saying:

"She’s always on the right side of history"

While another wrote:

"Nah she’s actually the sweetest short queen ever... Mother is mothering for everyone"

A user said:

"This is how you use fame... not to sell merch, but to fund real causes. Sabrina’s quietly building the kind of legacy that speaks louder than any hit single."

While a netizen noted:

"Sabrina out here touring and fixing the world one bop at a time"

However, the development also brought forward the many naysayers of the pop star. A user expressed her dislike for musicians politicizing their platforms:

"So now pop stars are turning concerts into political statements instead of music. Sabrina’s not fundraising she’s virtue‑signaling for headlines. Fans bought tickets for songs, not social agendas. When celebrity activism becomes the main act, the art always takes the back seat."

While a netizen expressed their discontent with the charities chosen by Carpenter:

"Choosing the LGBT Center & the Animal Society tells you all you need to know about the depth of celebrity value signaling."

The second leg of Sabrina's tour kicks off on October 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
