"She’s a working mom" — Teddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne defend Denise Richards amid Aaron Phypers' shocking divorce filing

Teddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne are slamming Denise Richards’ estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.

Richards, 54, and Phypers, 52, recently filed for divorce, and in the wake of their breakup, the reality star’s former Real Housewives co-stars sat down for an appearance on Diamonds in the Rough.

“Did you see the other ones that bit the dust?” Mellencamp, 44, said in the Friday, July 11, episode. “She said, I guess, like, six months ago that she would never believe in divorce. There's no chance that divorce could ever happen. She's no divorce, no divorce, never have one. And then I'm like, ‘He f***ing filed on July 4th.’”

Jayne chimed in,

“He's asking her for spousal support, OK? She's a working mom. You know, she's got Eloise. She's got the two other girls that are older, obviously. But come on, man, like don't do this.”

Mellencamp also said that Aaron Phypers was asking for “a lot” of money. Richards has two daughters with her former husband, Charlie Sheen: Sami, 21, and Lola, 20. She also has an adopted daughter, Eloise, 14.

During their latest podcast episode, Mellencamp was shocked to learn that, despite commencing the adoption process, Aaron Phypers never got around to formally adopting Eloise. Jayne said she “clocked that, too,” noting it was “interesting” because she “thought he had adopted Eloise.”

“They told us he did!” Mellencamp shared.

The ladies then ripped into Aaron Phypers for professing that he and Denise “have no children together,” despite Eloise having lived with them since they tied the knot in September 2018.

“What a d–kwad,” Mellencamp said. “It’s because he doesn’t ever wanna have to pay [Denise] anything.”

Jayne and Mellencamp then demanded that Aaron Phypers “leave [Denise] the f— alone.” According to People magazine, the latter said in his filing that he has “not made income since” his wellness business shut down last year.

Mellencamp added, “And you’re gross, douchelord. Sorry. Very few men do I despise as much as that guy. He’s easy to despise.”

Page Six has reported that Denise allegedly rakes in over $250,000 every month via her OnlyFans account, though she also makes appearances on TV and signs brand deals.

“She's a hard-working girl. I don't care what she makes on OnlyFans, and I hope she makes $250,000, like he said,” Jayne echoed. “Good for you. Leave her the f*** alone.”

Jayne also acknowledged that she and Mellencamp “can’t assume anything” about Richards and Phypers’ divorce, but

“We're not inside, but I'm saying this. Leave her the f*** alone.”

A source recently told The Daily Mail about the now-estranged partners:

'They have been having trouble for some time, but they had a row over the weekend where they basically were like "f**k you," and he marched off to file for divorce.' 'Denise is both devastated and relieved at the same time. She is mentally exhausted from the fighting, and she is glad that's over,' the insider said. 'But she is 100 percent not looking forward to the divorce, because he's made it clear that he won't go quietly. And she now has to gear up for a battle, which isn't what she wants.'

The insider also said that their finances were a factor in the divorce, as “she earns and he spends.”
