Kody Brown has admitted that his marriage to Robyn Brown is facing serious challenges. On a recent episode of Sister Wives, Kody shared that they are working through emotional strain following his three divorces. He described this period as difficult for both of them.

The couple decided to sit down for a relationship “health check-up.” This conversation happened after they spent time riding ATVs together. The location held emotional weight, as Robyn had suffered a serious fall there in a previous season.

In a confessional, Kody spoke openly about their situation. He said they are not only “fighting for our marriage,” but also trying to rebuild their life together. He explained that years of family breakups have taken a toll on their bond.

Kody Brown explained that the past four years have been filled with family separation.

He said, “We have been going through four years or more of breakup with the family.”

According to him, this long period of loss has affected how he shows up in his marriage.

He added that things feel stable when he is being himself. However, emotional stress sometimes changes his behavior. Robyn addressed this in her own confessional. She said their relationship can shift without warning.

Robyn explained that Kody goes through emotional highs and lows.

“We go through these periods where he is back to himself,” she said.

She added that during those times, their relationship feels normal. But she noted that he sometimes returns to what she called “the angry divorced guy.”

Accountability and forgiveness

During their conversation, Kody Brown asked Robyn if they were truly meant for each other. Robyn responded clearly and emotionally.

“I’m absolutely confident, Kody, and I don’t want you questioning that,” she said.

She also spoke about how divorce affects people mentally.

Robyn said, “It’s not normal to go through a divorce or divorces while you’re still married. It’s a very toxic time.” Kody later compared their experience to starting over. He said, “This life that we had before has been kind of burned down.”
