WWE fans witnessed a mix of shock, joy, and sadness when the current Women's World Champion Naomi announced on Monday Night Raw that she is pregnant and will be stepping away from the ring.

The 37-year-old star revealed the news alongside her husband and WWE performer Jimmy Uso. The announcement meant Naomi had to vacate her championship title, which she had fought to win a few weeks earlier. The announcement brought an emotional moment for fans. She had to skip her scheduled title defense against Iyo Sky as WWE cited that she was "not medically cleared."

The absence fueled speculation about her status. On Raw, she finally addressed the rumors as she appeared in the ring with Jimmy Uso and confirmed:

"I am pregnant and I am having a baby."

It was later featured in a clip from Stephanie McMahon's What's Your Story podcast.

Congratulating the couple, one fan wrote:

"so happy for them and so sad to see Naomi go"

This will be Naomi and Uso's first child together since marrying in 2014. She is also stepmother to Jimmy's two children from a previous relationship.

Internet reactions to Naomi and Jimmy Uso announcing their pregnancy

Pop Base took to its official X (formerly Twitter) page to announce that,

"Naomi and Jimmy Uso are expecting their first child together. #WWERaw"

Netizens were notably quick to weigh in on the comment section of the post as they expressed their reactions on the news. Below are what some of them had to say:

"I'm so happy for my girl but i’m def gonna miss her. i hope they let her get her top spot back when she returns !", remarked an X user.
"Awesome, that is great news! Congrats to the happy couple.", congratulated another.
"Jimmy Uso getting emotional talking about her having to step away from WWE three years ago, how much he learned from watching her grow, and how much fun she is having now", stated a third.

Others also chimed in:

"I GREW UP WATCHING HER AND THE BELLA TWINS, CONGRATULATIONS GORGEOUS QUEEN", expressed a fan.
"so sad this happened during the beginning of her long deserved title rain but congrats", penned another.
"Perfect, a WWE baby. Born with a steel chair in one hand and a scripted storyline in the other.", joked a third.

The timing of the announcement was relatively significant. Naomi had been seeing one of the most successful runs of her WWE career since making her return at the 2024 Royal Rumble.

She cashed in at the Evolution premium live event in July 2025 and won the Women's World Championship during a bout against Rhea Ripley. The win was her third world championship in WWE and her fourth overall.
