A new video of Yungblud performing at his latest concert alongside a young fan is going viral.

According to the online posts, the child called on stage to sing with the British-born singer is allegedly transgender. Although this remains to be confirmed, users have been reacting to the video with a blend of concern and amusement as Yungblud, who goes by He/Him pronouns, was shirtless as he carried the child on his shoulder.

Here's how one user reacted on X, for instance:

"There is something so unsettling about this. Leave the kids alone!"

The comments didn't end there:

"I’m not sure Yungblud knew that this kid was “trans.” How exactly would he know? Also, he was singing the Black Sabbath song, “Changes.” Have you listened to those lyrics? It’s about a relationship breaking up and how he still loves the woman and regrets their parting. He brings people up on stage all the time, to sing, play guitar or dance with him. He accepts everyone, talks to them and encourages them in life. He also regularly performs his concerts shirtless. Not everything is evil. While there’s a lot of evil musicians and entertainers out there, I don’t believe Dom/Yungblud is one of them," one user defended the singer.
"He’s a rockstar who champions acceptance and love. He wants those who have been alienated to feel like they belong. And his music is pretty damn good. Try not to judge other people. Life is better that way," someone else penned.
"Why dont they bring up an elderly “trans” person…strange it’s always younger humans," another remarked.
"Disrespecting Ozzy and Black Sabbath like that is disgusting," a fourth user opined.

Sentiments were visibly emphatic online, as seen in some of the comments below:

"Kinda weird to be hugging a little kid with your shirt off but I guess he means well," one user remarked.
"When Ozzy sang it I don’t think that was what the song was written for though," another chimed in.
"The only thing I'm seeing is a kid being happy and having a good time," yet another weighed in.
"there’s a fine line between genuine allyship and performative gestures……… hopefully, this moment was about uplifting the kid not just chasing headlines," someone else pointed out.

Netizens were visibly divided, though a large chunk of them did allege that had Yungblud not been a celebrity, the incident would have copped far more flak.

Here's everything Yungblud has been up to lately:

The British musician, born Dominic Harrison, confirmed just this week that he would be adding new dates for his ongoing IDOLS tour next year. According to UPI News, he said he will be hitting some of the biggest venues in his career.

The North American leg reportedly spans 24 shows, and it kicks off on May 1 at Michigan Liberty Amphitheater in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Yungblud will wrap things up in June 13 in Atlanta.

"USA and CANADA we ridin’ again. IM COMIN BACK. The biggest venues of my life here. Amphitheaters, arenas and RED ROCKS! WHAT??? This is insane. Pre sale starts Tuesday 10am local. General onsale 10 am WEDNESDAY. Set your alarms. Don’t sleep … you ready?? 🇺🇸🇨🇦☠️⛓️🖤," he announced on Instagram.

The general sale kicks off on Wednesday, October 8, at 10 a.m. local time. Presale access opens on Tuesday, October 7, at 10 a.m. local time.

The singer also has a collaborative EP with Aerosmith impending, marking the latter's first project in over a decade. The EP includes singles "My Only Angel," "Problems," "A Thousand Days," and "Back in the Saddle," which is a new version of Aerosmith's original 1977 track.

Yungblud also reportedly dropped Idols in June as the first part of two, though as of this writing, the second segment has yet to come out.
