All the major movie releases you missed this week

1) Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery - December 12

Wake Up Dead Man is a standalone sequel to 2022's Glass Onion and a third installment in the Knives Out franchise. This Rian Johnson directorial marks the return of Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc, who is investigating the death of a Monsignor. The film dropped on Netflix on December 12, 2025, after its premiere at TIFF in September. Give it a watch if you have enjoyed the earlier installments.


2) Silent Night, Deadly Night - December 12

Silent Night, Deadly Night is a remake of the namesake 1984 horror movie. The slasher horror is directed by Mike P. Nelson and follows a man who dresses up as Santa Claus every Christmas to kill people. It premiered at this year's Fantastic Fest and was released theatrically by Cineverse on December 12, 2025. If you are a horror fan, give it a watch. The original one was remade for the first time as Silent Night.


3) Goodbye June - December 12

Goodbye June marks the directorial debut of actress Kate Winslet, while the screenplay is written by her son Joe Anders. It focuses on a dying mother whose family members circle her to confront several of their emotions and past. Winslet has been a successful actress, and her trying her hand at direction is something that makes this movie special. It was released theatrically on December 12. In case you missed it on the big screen, the film will start streaming on Netflix a day before Christmas.
