Valve has officially announced the winners of the Steam Awards for the past year. The Steam Awards are decided only by players.

The Steam Awards 2024 winners were as follows,

• Best Game You Suck At: Black Myth: Wukong
• Best Soundtrack: Red Dead Redemption
• Outstanding Story Rich Game: Black Myth: Wukong
• Sit Back and Relax: Farming Simulator 25

At the 2025 Steam Awards, Hollow Knight: Silksong bagged Game of the Year and Best Game You Suck At awards. Notably, it was the only title to win more than one award in 2025. Other notable winners included Hades II, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Baldur's Gate 3.

Steam Awards' official website reads,

"The community has spoken! Your votes throughout the Steam Winter Sale have chosen these games below as winners of the 2025 Steam Awards!"

It also added,

"Maybe it was its immersive gameplay, or its gripping story, its well-crafted characters, immaculate design, or addictive multiplayer. Whatever the reason, the winner of this year's Game of the Year Award is an instant classic."
