Superman to start streaming on HBO Max from September 19

Superman (2025) is the first film of the rebooted DC Universe called DCU, which was released in theatres on July 11. The film has been a massive success, generating over $615 million in revenue, according to Box Office Mojo. Moreover, audiences have loved this version of the superhero, who is funny, kind, passionate, and does the right thing.

The film has proved that James Gunn's vision for the DCU has started off strong and is well-liked by fans. While many watched the film in theatres, some were hoping to stream it online soon. Viewers who missed out on the theatrical experience can now stream Superman on HBO Max from September 19, 2025.

Superman has always been a beloved DC character, being played by actors like Christopher Reeve, Henry Cavill, and most recently, David Corenswet. Before Superman was released in July, fans of the franchise had considerable doubts about whether David Corenswet would pull off the character like his predecessors. For a long time, fans had gotten used to seeing Henry Cavill as Superman, and the actor's departure from the role was saddening news for them.

But David Corenswet as the titular character has been a success, with fans loving this fresh portrayal of the character. Fans will now have the opportunity to stream the film online, as announced by HBO Max Nordic (@hbomaxnordic) via an Instagram post with the caption,

Superman follows the titular character as he prevents the invasion of Jarhanpur by Boravia, but then has to face billionaire Lex Luthor and his dangerous allies. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mister Terrific, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason/Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, and Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl.
