Superman is reportedly following the rulebook of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). As per an Instagram post by FilmBuzzr, the upcoming film will 'officially' have two post-credit sequences. The same was posted on Facebook by a page called A Shot II. This means that viewers might need to sit through longer than usual inside the theatre.

Fans can expect maybe a glimpse into the forthcoming DCU film Supergirl, which stars Milly Alcock as the titular superhero. It will be released on June 26, 2026, and will be a part of Chapter One: Gods and Monsters from DCU.

In an interview with The Times, Gunn spoke about the film's politics. He said,

"Do you never k*ll no matter what — which is what Superman believes — or do you have some balance, as Lois [Lane] believes? It’s really about their relationship and the way different opinions on basic moral beliefs can tear two people apart."

He added that the film is the story of America,

"[its about] an immigrant that came from other places and populated the country."

Gunn further said that the film is about kindness in human beings:

"But for me it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and is something we have lost."

The film will be released on July 11, 2025.
