Tamar Braxton is slamming critics for alleging that her recent stint in the hospital was faked for clout.
As seen in a new video shared on Instagram by Hollywood Unlocked, the singer, 48, lamented her critics' harsh assumption that she was faking her recent health scare.
For context, Tamar Braxton was recently hospitalized after her friend discovered her in a pool of her own blood from a facial injury. She had fractured her nose at the time and lost mobility and "some" teeth.
"The truth is, I've been in the hospital," she began, before walking away from the camera to shield her emotions. "It's been very hard," she continued. "I love drama, but what's the drama that I did? Somebody gotta tell me. What is the drama? Tell me what is the drama. All I know is I went to bed and I woke up with my life changed. And I probably shouldn't have said nothing but I panicked because I was scared, and I was alone, and I was in pain."
She went on,
"And that's it. I don't have to lie. I got money, I've got success, I don't have to lie about anything." She went on, "I'm trynna figure out how did I get into the drama and I'm in the hospital."
In her video, she also recounted all the symptoms of her ailing health, including tingly fingers. She also asserted that she doesn't do drugs of any kind, including cocaine.
Tamar Braxton opens up about how her life has changed since her injury:
Earlier this August, Tamar Braxton had the internet concerned for her health when she revealed she "almost died" with no memory of what happened to her.
"I struggled to write this, but everyone keeps calling me, and honestly, I can’t even really talk anymore. I’m so weak," she began on August 19. “I almost died Sunday." She said she was "found in a pool of blood" by her friend, adding, "As the days go by, the worse it is. I fractured my nose, lost some teeth, and mobility."
As for how her life changed since the incident, she said:
"The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins… pray for me for real. I don't even know what happened to me."
Shortly after, she confirmed it was a sleepwalking incident. In a joint post on Instagram with a cosmetic dentist named Amira Ogunleye, DDS, she said that she suffered a "very traumatic injury."
"She flew to me immediately within 24 hours. Upon evaluation, I confirmed that she did, in fact, have several fractured teeth. She even had an evulsed tooth, which is a tooth that's come completely out of the socket. She also appeared to have a fractured septum," the dentist explained.
They then performed an oral surgery on her immediately, which is when seizure and stroke were ruled out. Hola! has reported that the dentist has since confirmed that Tamar Braxton is on the mend and is stable.
