Tatiana Maslany weighed in after ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely, urging fans to withdraw support from Disney-owned platforms. Tatiana Maslany, who headlined Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Disney+, urged followers to cancel their subscriptions. According to Deadline, she shared an image on her Instagram Story wearing her She-Hulk motion capture suit, with text reading: “cancel your @disneyplus @hulu @espn subscriptions!”
ABC’s decision stemmed from comments Kimmel made on air about Tyler Robinson, the suspect accused of killing Charlie Kirk. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Disney executives opted to suspend the late-night program “indefinitely” following the controversy. Kimmel’s controversial statement, which went viral, said:
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
Tatiana Maslany calls for Disney boycott as debate over Kimmel controversy intensifies:

Tatiana Maslany was not the only public figure to push back after Disney-owned ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel Live! indefinitely.
Former Congressman Adam Kinzinger urged his more than one million X followers to boycott the network.
“When government intimidation and corporate cowardice meet, free speech dies. Boycott ABC and Disney until they stand up to Brendan Carr’s censorship,” he shared.
Actress Amy Landecker, best known for Transparent, also weighed in. Married to The West Wing’s Bradley Whitford, she posted a screenshot of her Disney+ cancellation page to Instagram.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk condemned Kimmel’s remarks about Charlie Kirk, calling the late-night host “disgusting” in a widely shared post. The Tesla CEO circulated a clip of Kimmel’s commentary on the MAGA movement, amplifying the controversy as debates over political speech on late-night television continued online.
Political commentator Ben Shapiro added to the backlash during an appearance on Fox News with Harris Faulkner.
“Whether he ever comes back, due to public pressure or whether it’s due to the Trump administration is an interesting question,” he shared.
Shapiro criticized Kimmel’s career trajectory, noting,
“The reality is that he’s been awful at his job for full-on a decade, his ratings are terrible, he’s become not a comedian. Affiliates looking at Jimmy Kimmel at this point and saying, ‘We don’t wish to be associated with Jimmy Kimmel’s program.’ That is perfectly well within the ambit that affiliates very often do when they don’t like the programming or they don’t like the things that, particularly, hosts are saying.”
According to The Wrap, Shapiro’s initial reaction to the suspension was simple disbelief that it “took 10 years for the public to sound off on how much Jimmy Kimmel sucks.”
Tatiana Maslany pivots to horror with The Monkey, stays coy on She-Hulk future:

Tatiana Maslany expanded her career into horror this year, teaming with director Osgood Perkins on The Monkey. During an interview with Inverse about the film, Tatiana Maslany was asked about her future in Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Her response was brief:
“I know nothing.”
The conversation quickly turned playful, with Tatiana Maslany teasing Perkins about wanting to step into the role himself.
“I just don’t want to talk about this around him because he makes fun of me. He just wants to be She-Hulk too, because he’s so tall… Wait, how tall are you?”
Perkins replied: “6’4.” Tatiana Maslany quipped back:
“Oh, she’s only 3 inches taller than you.”
Perkins then joked:
“I am She-Hulk.”
On a more serious note, Tatiana Maslany reflected on what she enjoyed about the role.
“I loved the body stuff with Jen, I don’t know that a lot of it was my own just curiosity, but just about being in that kind of body in a space when you weren’t in that body before, and feeling the difference of how you’re treated and just... All of that stuff was really exciting to me and unexpected,” she shared.
She added that she would trust creator Jessica Gao to shape the story if the show returned.
“I feel like Jessica Gao, who created the show, had such an amazing sense of the tone of it and such a reverence for the original material, and also updated it for audiences now with a lot of fearlessness… I just would trust whatever she would bring to it, whatever angle she wanted to take,” she explained.
Maslany may not have had concrete answers about Marvel’s plans for She-Hulk, but her remarks revealed a genuine affection for both the character and the creative team behind her. While she laughed off questions about a potential second season, she emphasized how much she valued delving into the physical and emotional nuances of Jen Walters. Now, with her foray into horror under Osgood Perkins’ direction, Maslany continues to showcase the range that keeps audiences intrigued. Whether she dons green again or not, it’s her versatility that remains the true draw for fans.
