Teyana Taylor's ex-husband and former NBA player, Iman Shumpert was accused of reportedly “hitting” and “dragging” a woman after an argument. According to Page Six, South Fulton County police were called to Iman's Georgia home at 4:37 a.m. on November 26 due to a domestic dispute between him and a woman named Joanna Donnejour.
Shumpert was putting a suitcase outside of his residence when the police arrived, asking the woman to leave. He told the officers that he had apparently asked her to vacate his property multiple times. While Joanna claimed that he began “dragging her by her wrist and foot toward the stairs," and also allegedly hit her.
The two allegedly started arguing when the woman caught him talking to another woman. There was another woman present at the scene who corroborated with Joanna's story, saying she saw the star grab "Ms Donnejour by the wrist to escort her out, but this was not done in an aggressive manner.” Due to this, the officers stayed with her until she left, and they did not see any visible injuries on her.
While leaving, she told Iman Shumpert, “See you in court and on Instagram in the morning.”
Iman Shumpert, himself told TMZ, "Last week, I had friends over and a visitor at my residence was politely asked to leave several times after I witnessed her damaging personal property. The police were called, invited inside and they spoke with multiple people who saw what happened. After assessing the situation, the police instructed her to leave repeatedly."
He concluded, "This matter was quickly closed that night by the police after they did their investigation."
Due to insufficient evidence files, the case was quickly terminated.
