The Bachelorette alum Hannah Brown is opening up about when she "accidentally" sent her then-husband-to-be a photo of her wedding dress.
The 30-year-old recently spoke to People Magazine, where she got candid about her blunder, which she now says is "funny." Brown, who married Adam Woolard in France on July 26, recalled the days leading up to her destination wedding.
Hannah Brown had flown out to NYC to try on the two wedding dresses she had finalized so that she could decide on which one. However, while there, she thought she'd keep "an open mind" and check out another showroom. There, she spotted a dress she liked, though she quickly decided that she wanted to stick to the original two.
In that moment, Hannah Brown thought she'd text one of her best friends, a stylist by profession, for her opinion, which is when she made the big mistake.
"And so, I messaged her, I thought I sent her a picture of the dress," Brown shared. "Well, I accidentally sent a picture to Adam. I sent the dress to Adam." She added, "I audibly gasped and I was still in the dressing room trying to get ready, and I told my mom and all the people helping me at Mark Ingram, I was like, 'I just sent him the dress.' And they all gasped," Brown remembered. "[They] were like, 'Oh no, what are we going to do?' I was like, 'I don't know what to do.' It was horrible."
Before she could undo her mistake, Woolard, 38, texted her back:
"He immediately messaged back and he was like, 'Wow, this one got me,' with the crying emoji," Brown said. "And I was like, 'Okay, well, I'm glad he likes to dress, but oh no.' Then I had to think on the spot, like, 'What am I going to do?' "
Hannah Brown then decided to cover things up by sending her groom "a bunch of different dresses" she had tried on to make him think it was just another dress she had rejected:
"I was just like, 'Just want to show you, having so much fun. This isn't my dress,' " Brown said. She was confident Woolard "no idea" what dress she chose ahead of their ceremony because "he's seen so many dresses." And, she said, he was "probably not going to remember this because he's a guy." "I feel so confident he's still going to have that reaction to this dress because of just his initial response to it," she said. "I love it and I know that he's going to love it, so that's good. I don't have to worry about that."
Hannah Brown and Adam Woolard's destination wedding details explored:
Hannah Brown, the Season 15 star of “The Bachelorette,” and her husband, Adam Woolard, held their nuptials by the coast at Domaine du Mont Leuze in France. The former took to Instagram to make the announcement, in a collaboration with People Magazine.
Today reported that the pair had been dating for four years before they got hitched in front of 101 guests. Per Page Six, they'd met on Hinge back in 2021. Their ceremony was held outdoors, overlooking the French Riviera. They then partied at Le Negresco Beach Club in Nice for their wedding festivities on July 25.
'We wanted something really timeless and classic, and really just the celebration of our love with our friends and family,' she told People.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the ceremony saw its guests serenaded by a string quartet that performed the Beatles' classic hit Here Comes the Sun. As for Hannah Brown, she sported a custom Cheyan ball gown by Mira Zwillinger, Jimmy Choo pumps, and a lengthy veil.
'I feel like it is so classic, timeless, but also feels a little unique. I love it,' she gushed. 'I always knew I wanted to take up space on my wedding day… I feel like a princess, and I feel like that's exactly how you should feel on your wedding day,' she told People Magazine.
Hannah Brown had her hair done by Alison + Artists. Trace Watkins did her makeup, and the Nashville Nail Co. did her nails, People Magazine has reported. Her groom sported a classic black tux for the occasion. For her wedding reception, she changed into the Bayne dress, designed by Mark Ingram for the Bride's Spring 2025 Collection called "Portrait of a Lady."
