The Chronology of Water set to release in December 2025
The Chronology of Water has been picked by The Forge for distribution in North America. The film is scheduled to get a theatrical release in December 2025, although no specific date has yet been announced. We can expect the makers to officially announce a release date soon. The film is expected to get a wider theatrical release, which means more screens, in January next year.
Stewart issued a statement after getting a December release month. She said:
“After eight long years of gestation, I am overwhelmed by the privilege of having The Chronology of Water be released in theaters with the full support and ambition of like-minded artists like the partners we’ve found at The Forge. Films like ours should be birthed onto the screen and I am grateful we found a team as committed to supporting independent filmmakers as they are.”
Kristen Stewart and Ridley Scott have co-produced the film with Charles Gillibert, Andy Mingo, Yulia Zayceva, Dylan Meyer, Maggie McLean, Max Pavlov, Rebecca Feuer, Michael Pruss and Svetlana Punte. The production banners include Scott Free Productions, Scala Films, Forma Pro Films, Fremantle, CG Cinema, Nevermind Pictures, Lorem Ipsum Entertainment, and Curious Gremlin.
