The Conjuring: Last Rites official clip showcases a scary mirror scene
The makers of The Conjuring: Last Rites have dropped a short one-minute clip that showcases a mirror. It begins with two people carrying something in a wooden box. One of them says that he feels the thing is slowly getting heavy. To which the other person responds, "It is. Sometimes these things could be...stubborn."
While they are carrying the box, they realize that the trap on it is unraveling in itself. We see that the other person is Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson), who tells him to keep moving. But the cloth on it flies away, and we see that it's a mirror. Ed warns the other man not to look at the mirror. However, it's too late, and he's already seen a reflection of a devil inside. The man, named Jack, then starts mumbling, "I saw her, she's here." The video ends with Jack falling down and the staircase slipping away from Ed's hands. It implies that Jack might have died in the end.
The story of The Conjuring: Last Rites is written by James Wan and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. The two have also penned the screenplay with Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg. Its storyline is inspired by the real-life case of Smurl haunting. Here's a list of its cast members:
- Vera Farmiga as Lorraine Warren
- Shannon Kook as Drew
- Patrick Wilson as Ed Warren
- Ben Hardy as Tony Spera
- Mia Tomlinson as Judy Warren
The franchise began in 2013 with Wan's The Conjuring. Its critical and commercial success kick-started the Conjuring universe and was followed by eight more installments.
Warner Bros. Pictures will be releasing the film on September 5, 2025.
