During the conversation, he spoke about the passing of Diane Keaton, who had played the role of Sybil Stone in the film.“I’ve been haunted by the loss of Sybil for months now while I worked on it, and so this was a blow on a tender bruise already. Mentally, I’ve been spending time in that house where I’ve been missing her for a while already.”The character of Sybil had died at the end of the first film. Bezucha then said:"[I want to] honor [Keaton] even more [and] do a good job by the rest of the cast.”He further said that he only wants the original cast to return for the sequel.“I’m not interested in the Brady family reunion without the original Jan."In the same interview, the director said that Disney has not officially greenlit the project yet. Keaton passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79.
