The Garfield Movie 2 is officially in development with Chris Pratt reprising his role

The Garfield Movie is a cinematic adaptation of the Garfield comic strips by James Davis. Mark Dindal directed this animated comedy film, while David Reynolds, Mark Torgove, and Paul A. Kaplan penned the screenplay. It was released on May 24, 2024. Here's the official synopsis as mentioned in Letterboxd:

"Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagne-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! Deadline has reported that The Garfield Movie 2 is officially in development. Chris Pratt has signed in to reprise his voice role as the titular orange cat in the sequel.

The report suggests that the producers are currently looking for writers and directors for the film. Alcon Entertainment will produce it, and the names of the additional cast are expected to be announced soon.
