Zack Snyder has announced that his next film will be The Last Photograph. Its production will kickstart this month and will go on till November. The shooting will take place in places like Los Angeles, Iceland, and Colombia.

The producers of the film include Snyder, Wesley Coller, Deborah Snyder, Gianni Nunnari, and Alisha Stickney from their production banners Stone Quarry and Hollywood Gang Productions. Stuart Martin, along with Fra Fee, will be starring in lead roles. William Doyle and Jaguar Bite are serving as the executive producers through Mediaset España's Telecinco Cinema. The score is composed by Hans Zimmer, Omer Benyamin, and Steven Doar.

In his statement, Snyder said:

“The idea of taking camera in hand and simply making a movie in an intimate way is very appealing to me. The Last Photograph is a meditation of life and death, embodying some of the trials that I have experienced in my own life and the exploration of those ideas through image making.”

The film revolves around a former DEA operative who is looking for his nephew and niece, who have disappeared. Their parents, who worked as diplomats, were killed by unknown people. The protagonist takes the help of a war photographer, the only witness to the case, to find the killers.

Snyder has been trying to make the film for a while but could not get the time from his big-budget tentpole projects. His last directorial venture, Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver, was released in 2024 and met with a negative critical response. The movie was criticized for its predictable plot, lackluster narrative, and underdeveloped characters.
