Kelley Mack, known for playing Addy from Hilltop Colony in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, has died at the age of 33. Her family confirmed that she passed away on Saturday in her hometown of Cincinnati following a battle with glioma of the central nervous system.
In a heartfelt message on Instagram, her sister wrote:
"It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go."
The post also shared that Kelley Mack passed away peacefully, with her mother Kristen and aunt Karen by her side.
"Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express."
In a tribute shared with the announcement, her family wrote:
“Her vibrant spirit, creative passion and dedication to storytelling left an indelible mark on those who knew her and the audiences she captivated through her work.”
Kelley's sister continued:
"I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I’m so f***ing proud of her."
Honoring Kelley Mack: Highlights from her career
Kelley Mack’s screen career spanned television, film, commercials, and voice work.
In 2019, she played roles on the procedural drama 9-1-1, and on Chicago Med in 2022. Kelley Mack also contributed voice work for giving life into Spider-Gwen in the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and in a Hyundai commercial.
In 2021, she starred in the Jacob Gentry-helmed thriller Broadcast Signal Intrusion, then in the geologic feature Delicate Arch in 2024. She also headlined the upcoming film Universal (2025), where she was credited as the executive producer.
Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow on July 10, 1992, in Cincinnati, Kelley was raised across several states, including Ohio, Missouri, Connecticut, North Carolina, and Illinois.
Beyond acting, Kelley Mack co-wrote several screenplays with her mother, including On the Black, inspired by her grandparents’ time at Ohio University in the 1950s.
Her voice acting career spanned across numerous commercials, including the national Qulipta "Field Trip" TV ad, the "Game Day Genius" ad, Herbal Essences, Dr. Pepper's "Fansville: Late Bloomer," Ross Stores' "Say Yes to Saving," Credit Karma Savings "Hard Working Money," and so much more.
Outside of film and television, Kelley's interests were vast. She loved to hike, play piano, and was a collegiate tennis player. The late actress was also a football enthusiast.
Kelley is survived by her parents, Kristen and Lindsay; siblings Kathryn and Parker (also an actor); grandparents Lois and Larry; and her boyfriend, Logan.
