Charlie Sheen's shocking allegation that Bill Clinton had once shown interest in his then-girlfriend Dolly Fox in the 1980s. The actress backed up Sheen's allegation from his new memoir, The Book of Sheen, in an interview with Page Six, which once again reignited Clinton's alleged history of flings and political involvements. She said:

"The whole thing is just such an incestuous funny story."

The 60-year-old, Charlie Sheen, recounted a bizarre experience while filming Three for the Road in Arkansas in 1987 in his new memoir, The Book of Sheen. Sheen said that when visiting the house of then-Governor Bill Clinton, along with castmates Alan Ruck and Kerri Green. His girlfriend, Fox, was also present, who went along with them.

Charlie Sheen recalled:

"It was pretty surreal as Gov. Clinton gave me a pair of red and white Razorback shoes, intentionally tacky and modeled after the mascot of Arkansas’ sports teams."

Then his co-star Alan Ruck heard Clinton mutter to an assistant to get some information about a brunette. He told People in an interview:

"I was answering a reporter's question when Ruck overheard Clinton whisper to one of his aides, 'Find out what you can about the brunette.' The brunette was Dolly, and to this day Alan swears it was an exact quote."

Dolly Fox, who was Charlie Sheen's girlfriend at the time, was the brunette that Clinton was asking about.

Sheen acknowledged feeling "some pride" that Clinton had taken attention, even if he was disturbed by the comment. Sheen claims that when Ruck told Fox about the event at a pub later that night, she laughed it off:

"I felt bad for Dolly to be objectified and skeeved-out like that, but still had to take some pride in 'Bubba' fancying my gal."

Sheen added:

"Alan gave Dolly the rundown in the bar later on that same night. To her credit, she laughed and was actually flattered."

Sheen told the tale to other patients in rehab years later, during the height of Clinton's impeachment trials in 1998 and 1999, which centered around the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He revealed the story to the other patients:

"Years later in rehab, while watching the Lewinsky hearings play out, I shared the Clinton–Dolly story with my fellow ’habbers.'"

He added:

“I was still pretty faded on detox meds and no one believed me. I literally said out loud to the group huddled around the TV, ‘It’s kool, I’ll put it in a book one day and you can all go f--- yourselves.’ (And here we are).”

Dolly Fox confirms the story

In an interview with Page Six, Fox confirmed the allegation and demonstrated the extent of her family's ties to the Clintons. She went on to discuss the lengthy political ties in her family.

Dolly Fox is the daughter of Yolande Fox, who was the 1951 Miss America who rose to prominence as a socialite and activist in Georgetown. Her mother was good friends with Clinton's mother, Virginia Kelley, and frequently hosted political gatherings at the Newton D. Baker House. She said:

“Hillary [Clinton] and my mother [became] very good friends.”

She also mentioned that “they would go to the racetrack together.”

Fox's friend, Elizabeth Ward, who was Miss America 1982, claimed to have had a tryst with Clinton. Dolly Fox went on to add that her mother was also a friend of Lewinski's mother:

“And it gets crazier because Monica Lewinski’s mother was a friend of my mothers!”

She went on to add:

“You can’t make it up. I have pictures of President Clinton holding my 5-year-old daughter."

Dolly Fox admitted that she had dismissed Clinton's interest at the time, and she added that “there was no ‘me too’ yet, so I was used to it. I laughed it off.”

Dolly Fox made it clear that she never brought this particular incident up with Clinton and didn't think about it until Sheen's memoir brought it up again.

She now looks at the whole thing with amusement:

"The whole thing is just such an incestuous funny story.”

Dolly Fox is currently channelling all her focus into producing a play about Dorothy Dandridge.

Bill Clinton was married to Hillary Clinton in 1975, and during his term as president, he was widely criticized for his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky and was impeached for charges of perjury and obstruction of justice.
