Joe Rogan is urging Jake Paul to take a break after the Anthony Joshua defeat. Joe Rogan, during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, discussed the long-term effects of repeated punishment in a fight ring on a fighter's mind and body.Rogan advised Paul to take a break and step back from professional boxing,"I would hope that he recognizes right now he's doing great. He's 28, probably made $300 million plus in his boxing career... Don't do this very long because there' a price that you pay that is not worth it. That price is depression, deep depression, severe brain imbalance that's gonna lead you to addiction. It leads so many people to gambling, drug addicts, alcoholics after their fighting career."Rogan went on to discuss the damage caused by Anthony Joshua and said,"That one punch from Joshua was like ten punches... That was real damage. If someone's breaking your jaw in two places, the inside of your head, there's a lot of damage going on... At a certain point, that f**king depression is unavoidable... Their whole day is like you're hungover, that's their life. Some guys don't get that and he definitely doesn't have to do that."Jake Paul takes legal action after the Anthony Joshua fightJake Paul and Anthony Joshua fought in Miami last Friday, leading to Jake's jaw getting broken in two places. The fight was streamed live globally on Netflix. Before the fight, rumors surfaced that Joshua had agreed to take it easy on Jake. The rumors were denied by both parties, and Paul's business partner Nakisa Bidarian, while speaking to the Ariel Helwani show, vowed to take action."Our lawyers are actively going after a number of people, one who claims to be a lawyer himself online...it was a post that had around 200,000 likes. Basically, the post claimed there was an agreement for AJ not to knock out Jake but AJ disregarded it and decided to forego his payday to knock out Jake Paul. It's pretty astonishing what people will say."Joshua also reportedly apologized to Paul's parents after the fight. After the fight, Joshua can be seen noticing Paul's parents, Gregory and Pam Stepnick, and asking Stepnick if she's "the mum." Joshua offered an apology and said, "It's just a fight." Joshua also showed respect to Paul publicly and mentioned that Paul's "got heart" and that he's a "strong guy."
