SZA or Solána Imani Rowe appeared on the cover of GQ on November 6, and reflected on her alleged feud with Nicki Minaj over the summer. The Grammy winning singer said that she has "no connection" with Minaj,

"I don't know her. We have no connection to each other. No backstory. Like, there was no through line narrative. It was just like, 'Roc Nation'...I don't know where it came from." That's not even my place to correct a narrative that I don't got s**t to do with. It was a little strange. It was very like, 'Why?' But also, you know, 'I guess.'

Last summer Minaj publicly accused SZA's manager TDE's Terrence "Punch" Henderson of bullying her.

Minaj also called SZA as one of the industry's "fake girl's girls who talk s**t but will run u down for a photo" and a "hater."

At the time, Rowe replied with a screenshot where Minaj had reached out to her for a collaboration:

"You absolutely know my music and what I contribute cause you've asked for features twice to no response. In addition to rapping my lyrics on feeling myself 'Cooking up the bass looking like a kilo'? Lol ur having a moment...im not sure why but be blessed."

More about Nicki Minaj and SZA's feud

Nicki Minaj and SZA began feuding in July, 2025, after Minaj fired shots at Top Dawg Entertainment president Terrence "Punch" Henderson and accused him of bullying and blackmailing her.

She also fired shots at Roc Nation's CEO, Desiree Perez, after her daughter Demoree accused her of being abusive. Rowe is signed to Top Dawg Entertainment, and posted a tweet hours later, saying,

"Merucry retrogade...don't take the bait lol silly goose.'

Minaj seemingly thought that the tweet was aimed at her and began firing shots at SZA. Minaj also accused Rowe of downgrading "top black women" instead of showing support, and addressed Rowe's resurfaced tweets where she dissed Rihanna and Ciara.

She also questioned if Rowe is "more successful" than her, and claimed that if every song she did "vanished right now", the "music business" wouldn't even miss her. The feud grew worse after fellow rapper Cardi B, who had earlier clashed with Minaj joined in and accused Minaj of:

"bootlicking a white artist a**" and "posting their accomplishments" while they ignore her. Cardi also called Minaj "slick" for throwing shots at Beyonce whom she called the "most unproblematic people ever."
