Chris Hughes' ex-girlfriend, Olivia Attwood, recently took to TikTok to post a video in which she addressed the backlash she received against her content, which allegedly took a swipe at Hughes and JoJo Siwa's dynamic.
In the new video, Attwood can be heard saying:
“I feel like on Instagram my huns always pass the vibe check, they know my sense of humour. On TikTok, it feels like everyone takes everything so literally. There’s no nuisance. There’s no sense of humour. I kinda feel like if you’ve got no sense of humour that’s on you. That’s not really a me problem, you know?”
Attwood then noted that by working for 8 years in the public eye, after gaining recognition on Love Island in 2017, she has learnt not to take stuff too seriously, and highlighted that it's "not too deep." She then called out the two-faced mentality of the audience, saying:
“It’s so twisted. And if I was to comment, they’d be like ‘how dare you defend yourself? You’re so mean.'”
Olivia and Chris dated for 8 months after meeting on season 3 of Love Island in 2017. However, things didn't work out for them, and the reality star went on to marry footballer Bradley Deck in 2018.
What did Olivia Attwood say in reference to Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa
It all started when Olivia Attwood commented on a fan-made video on TikTok, which included videos of Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa with the caption:
"Going from Olivia Attwood to JoJo Siwa is such a wild move I can't. I love them both (both) this kinda confirms to be that nothing is real and life is simulation."
Attwood commented on the post, "She's really famous."
Days later, Attwood posted a video of her mouthing the lyrics of Pretty Little Baby by Connie Francis. In the video, her husband, Bradley Deck, can be seen gently caressing her face as Olivia fluttered her eyes before falling into laughter.
In the caption, Olivia said:
"I just know this is going to trigger people so badly."
Olivia was right, and it triggered the social media audience, who alleged that Olivia was making fun of the age gap between JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes. The two reality stars have a decade-long age gap, with Siwa being 22 and Hughes being 32.
Siwa and Hughes were seen getting close during their stint in Big Brother UK. After leaving the villa, the two were snapped kissing during a trip to Mexico, despite denying relationship rumors.
