Pete Davidson is on the front page once again, this time for becoming a dad with fiancée Elsie Hewitt. On 16 July 2025, they recently revealed that they are expecting their first child together on Hewitt's Instagram with a humorous caption, photo, and a video of the ultrasound image.

Machine Gun Kelly Davidson's lifelong pal responded to the news by jumping into the comment section and wrote:

“These playdates bout to hittttt.”

MGK and Pete Davidson go way back. They became closer while filming The Dirt in 2019 after their first meeting on the set of Wild 'N Out in 2017. On The Howard Stern Show, MGK previously referred to Pete being "like a little brother," stating that their bond provided him with the sibling dynamic he was never able to experience as a kid growing up. He said:

“He’s like my best friend but also like a little brother, so, like, you have the opportunity to live that dynamic of, like, having a sibling. So, obviously, to me, that’s like the dream. Pete’s like that for me.”

The pair has openly stood by one another through both professional triumphs and personal setbacks. In mid-2023, Davidson also paused his stand-up tour to focus on his recovery and joined a wellness program. So when he made his first public appearance in October 2024 in Los Angeles, MGK was present at the event.

"A dream come true" for Pete Davidson

In recent years, Davidson has made no secret of his desire to have children. During a visit on Hart to Heart with Kevin Hart in 2022, he declared:

“I’m definitely a family guy. My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, I wanna have a kid. That’s like my dream. It’s like, super corny, [but] it would be so fun. Dress up the little dude. It’s just like, I’m so excited for that chapter.”

People who are close to the couple told People magazine that Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are "both very nurturing people" and are "very, very happy together" to start a family. They also said that Pete has overcome his challenges and matured:

“They’re both very nurturing people and are very, very happy together and to be starting a family. They’ve been sharing privately with loved ones, and it’s a really sweet time after everything Pete has overcome. He’s so excited. He’s always wanted to be a dad."

Davidson and Hewitt originally kept the pregnancy news hidden, only alerting close friends and family, despite their increasing public profile. It wasn't very long ago that the couple made their red carpet debut as partners. They made their debut at the 13th Annual Blossom Ball in New York barely two months ago.

They moved in together in the month of May, and Hewitt is expecting this winter, according to a TMZ insider.

MGK isn't the only person who congratulated and wished Pete Davidson all the best. Pete Davidson's ex-girlfriend doesn't harbor any ill will and congratulated him. According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, Ariana also believes that Pete will "be a great dad." The source revealed:

"Ari doesn't know Elsie, she believes that Pete becoming a father is the exact thing that he needs in his life and that he will be a great dad. Everyone knows Pete's father passed away in 9/11, and Pete will find it important to provide the best childhood possible for his child."

The insider continued:

"Pete is looking to give it his all because he knows more than anyone that nobody is promised tomorrow," while Ariana is allegedly "hoping for the same good fortune to come her way someday in the future."
