Metro Boomin recently appeared for an interview on Streetz 94.5’s episode. During his conversation with the host ET Cali, Boomin also talked about modern hip-hop albums.According to the American record producer, many hip-hop albums today sound like compilations because too many producers are engaged and no one is driving the overall idea. He also stated that recent hip-hop albums do not sound like a single coherent thought.“A lot of projects today sound like compilations; they don't sound like one idea or one complete thought. […] I feel like what you need in hip-hop is somebody that’s not you to drive the ship.”He continued as:“Even if you do have a couple, a few different producers on there, cool — but there’s still one in charge to make sure whatever they’re bringing to the table lines up with what we’re doing.”Metro Boomin also talked about Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feudMetro Boomin also discussed Drake and Kendrick Lamar's feud. He made it clear that he did not take anything about the beef too seriously. The record producer had a serious dispute with Drake, and Kendrick Lamar's line on his "Like That" collaboration with Future sparked a conflict between the two rap superstars. You know, I still grew up from that era, that's what it was. Before the Internet was what it is now, where it's personal and fans taking sides."Boomin also revealed he works with Coldplay and that Chris Martin is his good friend. He also said that they have friends from last few years.“I feel like a lot of people don't know work with Coldplay.”He called Chris Martin as ‘real solid guy.’“It's crazy. I know it feel like a sound probably sound like a random link up to a lot of people but you know Chris Martin from Coldplay is definitely a good friend of mine. Okay. And has been for some years, man. Real solid guy. Stand up dude.” Metro Boomin commented. Also read: “Thankful for the people that believe in my work”: Cardi B gives fans a heartfelt Thanksgiving shoutoutDolly Parton delivers sweet Thanksgiving video amid her health challenges
