Despite that, the truth was unheard. Donnie McClurkin said he remained silent when the media campaign was launched, mostly due to his religious beliefs. He mentioned that many have formed their opinions about him based on what was being circulated on social media. He said:“But people do things for different reasons. Most of them are monetarily motivated and it's a shame.”Speaking about his beliefs, Donnie McClurkin said:“I've tried my best and held up the standard of Christ as best I can. Flawed in many ways sometimes, but transparent and I transparently tell you that this is all fabricated and untrue.”Donnie McClurkin said that the situation has “people to vilify and to ridicule”Donnie McClurkin said that the situation was unfortunate and he wanted to be as delicate as he could. Calling the allegations “unfortunate,” he said he could not understand what was going on in the accuser’s mind. He said:“But I haven't seen this fellow in over, well now it's 11 years since 2015 and haven't spoken to him since that long either.”Donnie McClurkin said that calling oneself a victim when nothing really happened took attention away from people who truly suffered. He felt this was wrong, but believed that the truth would always come out, and that confused or dishonest people could not stop it from being heard. According to him:“Although a lie is very loud and boisterous and quick, the truth is very slow walking and it takes a moment but it comes to the foreground. I just wanted to let you all know although this has caused much controversy and it's caused people to formulate opinions and it's caused people to vilify and to ridicule. The one thing that I can say is I've tried my best throughout all these years to be transparent.”Donnie McClurkin said that he was praying for the gentleman so that he could regain some “lucid thought” and surrender himself to the lord. He said he did not want to reach out to the media outlets but wanted to speak directly to his followers. McClurkin mentioned that he had faith in the almighty that the truth would come to light.
