He has picked up every trick in the book."He further added how he got some wise advice from the action hero as he continued,"He's like, 'Tell me some of the stunts you're doing’. I said, 'OK, I'm jumping off exploding bridges, falling off roofs’. He said, 'Are you running at night?' Yes. 'Don't do any sprinting shots at five in the morning. Your body's going to be out of whack, and you'll get hurt...If you're hanging 11 storeys up, make sure people see how high you are. Make sure the shot reflects depth and dimension. You are selling the fact that you are doing these things."More details on The Running ManEdgar Wright is stepping into dystopian territory with The Running Man, a high-octane action thriller based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel, originally published under his pseudonym Richard Bachman. According to the official synopsis, the film is set in a near-future society, where The Running Man is the top-rated show on television, a deadly competition where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward. Desperate to save his sick daughter, working-class Ben Richards, played by Glen Powell is convinced by the show’s charming but ruthless producer, Dan Killian, played by Josh Brolin, to enter the game as a last resort. But Ben’s defiance, instincts, and grit turn him into an unexpected fan favorite, and a threat to the entire system. As ratings skyrocket, so does the danger, and Ben must outwit not just the Hunters, but a nation addicted to watching him fall.Wright, known for his kinetic direction and razor-sharp storytelling, co-wrote the screenplay with longtime collaborator Michael Bacall and is set to direct and co-produce the project for Paramount Pictures. The film marks the second adaptation of King’s brutal vision of entertainment gone mad, following the 1987 version starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Running Man will be in theaters on November 12, 2025.
