Tom Cruise is gearing up for his forthcoming action thriller film, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. The film will have him return as the IMF agent Ethan Hunt, and is slated to release on May 23, 2025, after its Cannes premiere on May 14.

Tom Cruise's forthcoming film gets a special bucket
Tom Cruise will be reprising the role of Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. The shape of this bucket is like a capsule, and it will come with a key that has been shown in the last two films of the franchise. One can only open the bucket with the key. The design of the bucket will ensure that the audience doesn't drop any popcorn on the seats.
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is a direct sequel to the 2023 film Dead Reckoning Part One and the 8th entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise. In an interview with Empire, the film's director, Christopher McQuarrie, spoke about it. He said,
“You gotta see the movie. It’s a hard thing for me to discuss at the moment, because it really is something that you have to experience. It’s Homeric."
When asked if it will conclude the franchise, McQuarrie said:
“It is, I hope, the satisfying conclusion to a 30-year story arc. I’m pretty confident that people are going to feel that the title was appropriate.”
