Jessie J has shared the experience of having her "worst day so far," during her ongoing health crisis concerning breast cancer. It is a day she describes as deeply emotional and filled with panic attacks, fear, and sadness.
The singer, 37, took to Instagram yesterday to share her struggles with fans after announcing the diagnosis of early breast cancer on public platforms. She constantly reminded her fans with positive messages stating ‘Tomorrow is a new day’ as she described going through a heavy phase.

Trying to juggle being a mother, a professional, and undergoing treatment all at once, left Jessie J feeling “drowned in negativity’ during one of her hardest weekends. Jessie, who has a son, Sky, with her partner Chanan Colman, says that the last three months have been overwhelming for her – balancing life, work, and cancer, all suffering mentally because of it.
Her emotional post described panic attacks and spiraling feelings, acknowledging that even small comforts helped in the process.
“I ate a corn on the cob,” she wrote. “Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend.”
While her humor shone through, Jessie made sure to acknowledge the gravity of her experience explaining that feeling fear and sadness is not only normal, but something that needs to be processed.
Jessie J further stressed that, despite her upbeat public persona, she does not shy away from showcasing the shadowed sides of her journey.
“I won’t be just talking about the highlights and making jokes all the time. That isn’t real life,” she added.
Jessie J acknowledging the lows behind the spotlight

After a day away from social media, Jessie came back to address users who advised her to stay within the realm of positivity. Defending herself, she said,
“It is important to let fear, anger, sadness, panic, and overwhelm come up and come out.”
Jessie J describes her emotional eruption as ‘one day in ten weeks,’ where she felt everything after her diagnosis hit her. Reassuring fans, Jessie explained that while she puts on a strong front most days, she is trying to accept her vulnerability:
“I will cry, I will be scared, I will panic… then the I will eat a corn or laugh with a friend and go back to being a mum.”
Jessie J approaches her diagnosis with humor and brutally honest resilience. She is getting ready for her performance at London’s Summertime Ball scheduled for June 15, and can't defy the surgery that follows. A message to her fans is that things may seem exceptionally difficult, but there’s potential for a fresh start with each new day – “Tomorrow is a new day”
