Troll 2 post-credit scene has already set up a third installment in the franchise: Here’s how

Troll 2 is a Norwegian film in the monster genre that was released on Netflix on December 1, 2025. The film is directed by Roar Uthaug, while Espen Aukan has written the screenplay.

Troll 2 features a post-credit scene that drops a hint for a potential sequel. One of them is the rescue of a troll specimen. This makes it obvious that their lore is far from over. Post the massacre, some trolls might have managed to survive. If it's true, then it will ensure that their population continues to grow.

This gives the possibility that their story can be taken forward in a threequel. The ending of Troll 2 also showcased the Mountain King's son and the remaining trolls coexisting with the humans. But the past has shown that their relationship is shaky, and anything can go wrong at any time.
