A new video of rapper Troy Ave allegedly shooting at a thief attempting to rob him and one of his show promoters, celeb chef Geoff Cole, in San Diego has surfaced online. Cole had posted the video originally on July 15.

As per home security footage, Geoff shows up at Troy's home in his Bentley before Troy gets out of the passenger seat. As both men walk towards the garage, a robber sneaks behind the alley and charges at Geoff. Troy reacted immediately and reached for his own handgun before firing shots and chasing the robber back into the alley.

It is unclear from the video if any of the rapper's shots hit the suspect, and police have not yet made an official statement. His pal, Geoff, took to Instagram to post about the incident and gave credit to Troy. In the caption, Geoff mentioned,

"I came home after Celebrating the success of a sold out Chef Fest with Love & Support from all over the West Coast! And a hater from the SAME CITY tried 2 take it all away! This is the 2nd time but it WON'T be a 3rd! s/o 2 my BROTHER Ave for Holding it Down in a situation where most woulda RAN or FOLDED."

He continued saying,

"I'll never let the hate stop Me from showing LOVE! Ima keep giving artists OPPORTUNITIES & PLATFORMS, Ima Keep Gettin Money And the ONLY thing im doing different now, is taking this SHOW ON THE ROAD."

More about Troy Ave's shooting incidents

This isn't rapper Troy Ave's first shooting incident. Ave was released from jail in August 2024, after serving six months of a one-year prison sentence at Rikers Island for his involvement in a 2016 shooting incident at New York's Irving Plaza.

He commemorated the occasion with an Instagram post on August 26, featuring an image of himself in front of a Rikers Island sign holding a bag of cash, and a red Lamborghini Urus next to him, with the caption, "Ya boi home!"

In 2016, Troy Ave was involved in a high-profile case at Irving Plaza in New York during a T.I. concert. His bodyguard died, and several others were injured in the incident. Troy Ave was arrested and defended himself by accusing media personality Taxstone of being the real shooter.

Taxstone was found guilty in 2023 and was sentenced to 35 years. Troy was able to get his sentence appealed after spending two months behind bars.
