TV presenter Nick Cannon opened up about his views on fatherhood in an exclusive interview with People Magazine on July 7, 2025. When asked how he was dealing with his kids, he replied that he loved them unconditionally. For him, there was nothing more important than his children. He said:
“It’s a learning lesson of love for me every single day. And look like you said the number one thing is just to be present to be able to say, ‘Hey, I am here. We growing together.”
Nick Cannon went on:
“These children grow up and they are surrounded with love, you know, all I can do is pray that, you know, they can have a open and loving life because they see what dad is and in a very, like I said, non-traditional, unorthodox way but it is still filled with love.”
The video was reshared by media outlet Hollywood Unlocked, and social media users poured in their reactions. One Instagram user (@shaynnainthecity) wrote:
“Until he forget one of the names.”

Netizens critique Nick Cannon, as he shares his views on fatherhood
Watching Nick Cannon speak about navigating his life as a non-traditional father, many rushed to share their opinions about his views. Some Instagram users argued that Nick Cannon won’t be able to attend all his kids’ events, while others suggested that he was a narcissist.
“Love for himself is at the center. Yes, we knew this,” an online commentator (@princessmeowdao) shared.
“Bro be spending a million on happy meals every year fr,” a netizen (@whowaynereal) mentioned.
“Until he can't attend some of their events or be at two three four five places at once,” a social media user (@therealbrendonmatthews) reacted.

While many claimed that Nick Cannon seemed lost, others called him a great father.
“Nick so lost and doesn't even know it. And it's really really sad honestly,” a platform user (@destnd4gr8nss) claimed.
“Yea he is a great father indeed to all his kids,” a media user (@darknez_of_3) commented.

Nick Cannon had a difficult time recalling the names of two of his kids
In June 2025, Cannon was a guest on The Really Good Podcast hosted by Bobbi Althoff, where she asked him to name all his 12 kids. He said this was the part where he got in trouble and proceeded to name ten of his kids. As he tried to recall the names of the other two kids, he said,
"I am missing two. And then I would say, oh yeah, did I say Beautiful? There's Beautiful and then there would be Halo, my youngest."
Besides Beautiful Zepplin and Halo Marie, he has 10 kids, namely, Zillion Heir, Onyx Ice, Monroe, Powerful Queen, Zion Mixolydian, Moroccan, Rise Messiah, Golden Sage, Zen, and Legendary Love.
Speaking to People Magazine recently, Nick Cannon admitted that he wasn’t sure about having more kids. He said he was enjoying his life and wasn’t planning to expand his family anytime soon, especially considering his financial situation.
However, Cannon also shared that he couldn’t predict the future and wasn’t completely against the idea in the long run. He explained that there was a time when he thought he was done having children, but then he realized he couldn’t be certain.
He never expected to have 12 kids, but since he loved his children and his life, he felt open to whatever the future might bring.
