Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s reported family feud began over wedding dress

Victoria Beckham’s relationship with her daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz has been the subject of media speculation ever since Peltz wore a Custom Valentino Couture for her wedding to Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham. Media and fan speculation about the Beckham family’s alleged feud with Brooklyn and his wife, Pelt, has been rife for a few months now.

According to a report by People Magazine, an unnamed source, identified as a “Peltz family insider,” has confirmed that the alleged Beckham family feud indeed began over the wedding dress that Victoria Beckham had planned to design for her then would-be daughter-in-law.

The report by People Magazine quoted the source, who provided details about the alleged incident. As per People Magazine, the source said,

“When Nicola and Brooklyn got engaged, Victoria told Nicola that she'd love to make her wedding dress, and Nicola said it would be her honor, that she would love to wear one of her originals.”

However, as per the publication, the source added that Victoria, who runs her own luxury fashion label, did not end up making the dress, and also failed to inform Peltz about her inability to make her the outfit. As per the source quoted by People Magazine, Victoria had relayed the information to Peltz’s mother instead of the bride herself.

All about the alleged wedding day tensions between Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz

Speculations about a rift in the relationship between Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz garnered steam when Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Peltz, were absent from Brooklyn’s father, former football player David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash held in March.

At the time, it was suggested that a feud between the Beckham siblings could have been the reason why Brooklyn and his wife decided to give the birthday celebration a pass. The couple’s absence was notable as the rest of Brooklyn’s siblings were present to commemorate their father’s milestone birthday.

It was reported in the media at the time that the feud in the family arose as a result of a difference of opinion between Brooklyn and his younger brother, Romeo Beckham, over Kim Turnbull, as per TMZ. According to a report by TMZ, Kim Turnbull, who is dating Romeo at present, was linked to Brooklyn several years ago.

However, the recent report by People Magazine mentions a source close to the Peltz family who claims that the feud in the family arose at the time of Brooklyn and Peltz’s wedding.

As per the news outlet, it was not the wedding dress that bothered Peltz. The publication reports that the source claims Peltz was hurt by Victoria Beckham’s actions on the wedding day. People Magazine reports that during the wedding in 2022, Victoria allegedly danced to a song that the bride and bridegroom had originally planned to dance to together.

The source claimed that there was yet another point of contention between Victoria and Peltz on the day of the wedding, according to People Magazine. The publication quoted the source narrating the alleged incident:

“Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding…before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, 'The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up...Victoria Beckham!’"

The incident, as per the source, hurt Peltz’s feelings, who allegedly “left the room in tears.”

That said, the report by People Magazine does quote some more unnamed sources who seem to refute that there were any tensions between Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz on the day of her and Brooklyn’s wedding.
