Warner Bros has been one of the key film studios in Hollywood over the past few decades. They have been churning out all kinds of films that have gone on to become commercial successes. These include names like the Dark Knight trilogy, Gravity and Joker, among others.
However, since 2019, the studio has been struggling to get a major box-office juggernaut. This was further impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the shutdown of cinema halls across the globe. But the studio has finally hit the bull's eye as it has hit $4 billion at the global box office.
Warner Bros mints $4 billion global box office since 2019
Warner Bros has become the first studio of 2025 to cross the $4 billion mark at the box office internationally. This is the first instance that the studio has surpassed the $4 billion mark since 2019. That year turned out to be a dud, and it was followed by the pandemic years, which further affected the theatrical revenue.
This year, WB has churned out 11 theatrically released feature films, including the recently released Paul Thomas Anderson-directed One Battle After Another. In 2019, they released 20 projects. Out of the $4 billion, around $1.795 billion came from the domestic ticket window, while $2.2 billion came from the international market.
Amid this news, their upcoming film One Battle After Another is eyeing a $45 million collection globally. Some of the most commercially successful titles of Warner Bros are the period horror film Sinners, the sports drama F1, the horror flick Weapons, the video game adaptation A Minecraft Movie, and DCU's maiden superhero film Superman.
It has also become the first studio to have seven back-to-back films to touch the $40 million mark in the North American market. Nine titles opened to the top spot in 2025. Besides these achievements, Warner Bros titles are also counting on 15 weekends for the number one spot nationally and globally.
Here is a list of their top releases that have also crossed the $100 million mark.
A Minecraft Movie – $957.8m
F1: The Movie – $624.3m
Superman – $615.3m
The Conjuring: Last Rites — $403.2m
Sinners – $366.6m
Final Destination Bloodlines – $313m
Weapons – $263.9m
Mickey 17 – $133.3m
Overall, the year 2025 has been good for the studio that was struggling with numbers for a few years.
