Eenie Meanie started streaming on Hulu on August 22, 2025. The crime thriller film is the directorial debut of Shawn Simmons, who also wrote the screenplay. The film is produced by Marty Ewing, Paul Wernick, and Rhett Reese. It stars Samara Weaving as Edie, the lead role, alongside Karl Glusman, who plays John.
Recently, Glusman spoke about his feelings regarding the scene where his character dies. The actor said:

Karl Glusman portrays John, Edie's former boyfriend, in Eenie Meanie. Ultimately, the character is killed by Edie. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Glusman discussed the scene where his character dies. He said:
"That was actually a nerve-wracking scene for me. I felt like, for the most part, it was all really straightforward for me as far as what my job was in this movie. And then, when it got to that scene, you don't think the way your character thinks. To get into the mindset of, "We're here and feeling this way now, and then I'm going to make this decision, and I'm going to realize that..." It felt like a lot of twists and turns in a very short amount of time. It felt like a complicated logic to follow."
Glusman further said that he was placed in a greenroom with other actors, including Chris Bauer. At one point, Glusman told Bauer that he had forgotten how to act.
"We're about to shoot this scene, and I'm not joking. I am really not sure how to do this." And Chris Bauer said, "Are you asking me?" And I said, "Yeah, I forgot how to act right now." He said, "Why don't you just play it moment by moment?""
Glusman then decided to follow Bauer's advice and acted moment by moment in the scene.
Eenie Meanie centers on Edie (Samara Weaving), a former getaway driver who has now left the crime world. She is forced to return to that life to save her ex-boyfriend. The film also stars Andy Garcia, Steve Zahn, and Jermaine Fowler, among others.
