Alex Fine was Diddy's personal trainer as well as his future wife's trainer. His wife, Cassandra Ventura, was Diddy's partner back then. They started seeing each other two months after confirming her breakup with the rapper. As Cassie testifies in her former partner Combs' federal s*x trafficking trial, fitness trainer turned actor Alex Fine was there to support her.

The high-profile, sporadic relationship between Cassie Ventura and Sean "Diddy" Combs began in 2007 and ended permanently in 2018. Ventura said that Combs mistreated and manipulated her during this time, including engaging in unsettling se**al coercion, which she described in court.

Ventura testified at the trial that she was physically assaulted and coerced into having "freak-offs," or non-consensual interactions with escorts, while Combs looked on. In May 2024, CNN broadcast a 2016 video purportedly depicting Combs attacking Ventura in a hotel corridor in Los Angeles, which quickly gained widespread attention. Ventura's legal team contended that although it directly related to the federal accusations, it provided insight into the aggressive nature of their relationship.

Combs has entered a not guilty plea to counts of conspiracy to commit racketeering, s*x trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and prostitution-related transportation. According to his legal team, any violence was "mutual."

Was Alex Fine Diddy's Personal trainer?

It was Diddy himself who brought Alex Fine into Ventura's life. After working as Combs' personal trainer for a while, Fine started working with Ventura. After Ventura broke up with Combs, their working connection turned into a romantic one.

Shortly after her separation from Combs, they made their love public in December 2018. The pair maintained their openness about their love for one another in spite of rumors and criticism.

Alex Fine was born in Ohio and attended Central Michigan University before turning to bull riding. He started the fitness app and company Almost Home after leaving his career in personal training. With roles in movies like MobLand, American Primaeval, The Ressurection of Charles Manson and 1883, he also made an appearance during Paris Fashion Week.

In a surprise moment for Cassie, Fine went all the way for their proposal. Being a cowboy at heart, Fine organized the proposal with the horse riding community, Compton Cowboys. Ventura remembered how he had a Stevie Wonder song playing in the background when he surprised her with horses and their initials connected above.

Ventura told Vogue:

“When he got down on one knee, everything just stopped.”

She said:

“I felt like I lost my sense of hearing; I just saw his mouth moving, and he said ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you.’”

The pair married in a small ceremony in Malibu, California, in August 2019. Just 14 of their closet friends and family were present for the wedding, putting an emphasis on closeness above glitz.

"I felt really relaxed during the ceremony. As soon as I saw Alex, any nerves that I did have went away," Ventura remarked. "I couldn't help but smile.”

Since their small wedding, the couple have had two girls, one named Frankie, born in December 2019, and another named Sunny, born in March 2021. According to reports, they were expecting a boy this year, making him child number three.

In an anniversary post of their third marriage, Fine posted on Instagram in the year 2022, he wrote:

“I’m so lucky that I got to marry my best friend and most beautiful wife in the world. Every morning I wake up and see you and the babies I get so happy.”

Fine is enjoying his marriage and his time as a father of 2 girls.

He told Zero magazine:

“Being a dad and husband is the greatest thing I’ve ever done and I don’t know how I got to be so blessed.”

Alex Fine is personally sensitive to domestic abuse. Motivated by his father's experiences, he completed a 50-mile marathon in 2020 to raise money for survivors of domestic violence. He added:

"When I got the news that my mom had been the victim of domestic abuse and violence, I really didn’t know how to handle it. I didn’t want to give in to those paralyzing feelings."

He added:

"So, I decided to channel my anger and feelings of helplessness by running fifty miles to bring awareness and hopefully raise some money for other victims of domestic violence."

Alex Fine has been present all throughout Cassie's tear-filled court speech. Ventura had been on the stand for almost eight hours as of May 15, sharing with the court heartbreaking details about her life. Douglas Wigdor, her attorney, said she is "holding up strong."

According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, Alex Fine supported Cassie during the court proceedings. Additionally, he made a public statement in May 2024 following CNN's revelation of 2016 video evidence showing Diddy assaulting Cassie in a hotel in Los Angeles. He wrote:

“Men who hit women aren't men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren't men. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Men who hurt women hate women."

Teny Geragos, who is Diddy's attorney, had requested the judge to ban Alex Fine from the courtroom because he could be summoned as a witness. According to The Post, Geragos revealed:

"Mr. Fine sent several threatening texts to Combs that he’d like to beat the f-word out of him. There’s three areas of possible testimony that we might have to call him on our direct case.”
