Brooklyn Beckham reportedly skipped his brother Romeo's birthday.
David Beckham, the father of the boys, took to Instagram on Sunday, August 31, to mark Romeo's 23rd birthday with a throwback photo.
“Happy 23rd Birthday to my little boy 🩷 you are kind , humble , polite , hard working and the most special person to everyone we love you so much x,” David, 50, penned. “Have the most special day HAPPY BIRTHDAY big boy @romeobeckham 🩷.”
Victoria Beckham reposted the photo of her son in a kiddie pool with the caption:
“We love you so much Romeo.”
She also shared a video of her son blowing out the candles on his birthday cake amid his birthday party, and the entire family was present, except for Brooklyn Beckham. David, Cruz, and Romeo Beckham were all tagged in the video, save for Brooklyn, who didn't wish his brother online either.
Cruz wished his brother with a throwback photo of Romeo clutching a phone with a Justin Bieber case. His caption read:
“Love u man.”

Per Us Weekly, Brooklyn Beckham's absence from his younger brother's birthday party comes on the heels of months-long speculation that a rift may be brewing within the family. Just this May, he and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, were missing from David's 50th birthday party.
A source told the outlet that the pair and their son have “not been in touch” since then.
“There hasn’t been any sort of resolution from either side,” the insider said, adding that David and Victoria have not reached out to the couple either.
The Sun has reported that Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham renewed their wedding vows just this month, in a ceremony officiated by her father, Nelson. However, none of the other Beckhams were present at the festivities.
The pair tied the knot in April 2022 after having dated for three years. In their vow renewal, as seen in photos shared online, several of Nicola's family and friends were in attendance. A source told The Sun of David and Victoria's reaction to their invitation being snubbed:
“This was the final kick in the teeth for David and Victoria. Seeing Nelson [Nicola's father] having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding, or were invited. His grandparents are devastated too as Brooklyn has always been so close to them.”
The source went on:
“It feels cruel and spiteful. This is no longer a game. It has gone beyond all that. This is a family who feel they have lost their precious boy — and see no way back. Honestly, they are now questioning why he even wants to keep the ‘Beckham’ surname — will he revert to Peltz? August 2nd 2025 — is this the day Brooklyn formally declared himself no longer a part of the Beckham family? It certainly feels like it.”
Standard UK has reported that Cruz, Romeo, and Brooklyn Beckham no longer follow each other on social media, though it is unclear when this happened.
