Was Dave Portnoy kicked out of another pizza place? Barstool founder speaks out amid viral video claims

After a viral video surfaced stating that Dave Portnoy was thrown out of a pizzeria, he released a statement on Sunday saying that the person in the viral video was actually not him, but someone that resembled him. According to Daily Mail, Portnoy was allegedly seen being kicked out of the pizza place he was visiting after getting into a verbal confrontation with an employee who was working there.

Dave Portnoy, who is the founder of Barstool Sports, is also known for his controversial reviews of pizza places on his show, "One Bite Pizza Reviews," where he rates restaurants on a scale of one to ten. This is not the first time he has been alleged been kicked out of a pizza place while filming for his show.

In the video originally posted on TikTok, Dave Portnoy, or rather a man resembling him, is seen shouting at a man who works at the pizza place. In the video, the employee is seen folding boxes, and the customer resembling Dave Portnoy angrily throws them away, while other customers can be seen waiting behind him. In reponse, the employee is shown throwing a slice of pizza in his face, after which both of them engage in a heated argument. The man then angrily proceeds to storm out of the pizza place; however, he stops to throw a slice of pizza back at the staff before exiting the store.

Apart from Portnoy denying that the person in the video is him, the community note released under the video on X (formerly Twitter) also claims that the person in the video is not him, although their assumption is based on the statement provided by Portnoy.

Dave Portnoy took to X (formerly Twitter), where he alleged that people who dislike him purposefully orchestrated the video in a way that it would make him go viral for the wrong reasons. He said,

"Momma there goes that man again! The haters are so obsessed with me they make me go viral even when it’s not even me. That’s true power! I’ve become a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night. "Rat on your pop, and Portnoy will get you! 😂"'

Dave Portnoy was previously kicked out of the Goodfellas Pizzeria in Lexington, Kentucky, after he was seen filming on the patio of the restaurant without prior permission. This incident, along with the fact that he was served a cold slice of pizza, prompted Portnoy to give the restaurant the lowest score of zero.
