Megyn Kelly had previously stated that she was subpoenaed by Blake Lively in the lawsuit against Jacob Baldoni. On the other hand, Blake Lively denied subpoenaing the talk show host.

According to Deadline, Blake Lively's legal team subpoenaed Red Seat Ventures, a company that oversees several aspects of content creation, including sales support, distribution, production, marketing, and branding for Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson, among others.

The whole debacle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni began back in December when the Gossip Girl actress filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and the launch of a deliberate smear campaign against her. The Jane the Virgin actor denied the accusations, after which he later countersued Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, but the $400 million defamtion lawsuit was later dismissed back in June.

More about Megyn Kelly's accusations against Blake Lively, as the actress denies subpoenaing the journalist

Megyn Kelly, who shares the same lawyer as Justin Baldoni, alleged that she was specifically targeted and subpoenaed in an attempt to obtain confidential information from her. The comments were made earlier this week on her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, where she said:

"She actually tried to get the confidential and proprietary materials my team and I used for any and all stories about her, because Blake Lively was unable to fathom that yours truly had developed a genuine revulsion toward her on my own."

Kelly further added:

"This is how narcissistic this woman is. She actually thinks I needed to get paid by Baldoni's team to say negative things about her. News flash, Blake: I came to those conclusions totally organically. ... It was you — it was all you who made me unable to stand you. No man had anything to do with it."

The former Fox News host also called Blake Lively "an entitled, nasty, elitist, Hollywood snob," who thought that she was "untouchable." She said:

"This is yet another entitled, nasty, elitist, Hollywood snob who thinks she’s untouchable to the point where not, not unlike Meghan and Harry, who have made a career themselves out of suing members of the press who write disparaging things about them, she believes that anyone who does not worship her must be on the payroll of her enemies."

Blake Lively's legal team has denied subpoenaing Kelly directly. They released a statement to Deadline, adding that the actress is simply speaking up against the harassment she faced. Part of the statement read:

"At no point in this litigation has Ms. Lively served a subpoena on Megyn Kelly. Ms. Lively is continuing to pursue discovery in order to prove her case that Justin Baldoni, Jed Wallace, Melissa Nathan and the Wayfarer Parties’ retaliated against her for speaking up against the harassment she and others experienced on set, as alleged in her complaint."

According to Daily Mail, the Justin Baldoni-Blake Lively trial will begin in March 2026.
