William Shatner's agency has cleared the air about rumors that he was hospitalized for a medical emergency.
Per ABC7, the Star Trek legend's agency, TalentWorks, has confirmed that the actor is fine. They were referring to the reports that he was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday following complications with his blood sugar levels. The reports alleged that he was at home in Los Angeles at the time.
TMZ reported yesterday, September 25, that the Hollywood icon's agent, Harry Gold, confirmed the allegations. He allegedly called 911 for help and was transported in an LAFD ambulance to a local hospital. Gold also said that "he's fine" and was later taken home.

William Shatner, known for playing Captain Kirk in the legendary sci-fi series, has been staying active in recent years. In 2021, at the age of 90, he went to space as part of the Blue Origin mission, titled NS-18. He became the oldest person to ever do so.
Just last year, ahead of Gayle King's trip to space, William Shatner gave her some advice:
“You’re on an adventure. You’ve got to embrace it.” He continued, “There are no words in the English language to explain what weightlessness is like. It is the strangest feeling. Nothing is like it, not swimming in a pool where they have the astronauts. Nothing is like it.” Shatner added, “You’re going to see the world like nobody. Only 600 people have seen it before.”
However, his alleged health scare comes a year after he revealed he survived stage four melanoma, per The Daily Mail. He revealed at the time that he underwent surgery and immunotherapy as part of his treatment, though he did not disclose the exact timeline.
William Shatner was also diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016, though it later turned out to be a misdiagnosis due to a massive spike in his levels of PSA (prostate-specific antigen), the outlet has revealed. 'That was really scary,' Shatner remembered to NBC News. 'I was told by a doctor I had a terminal disease. That I was going to die.'
Back in 2018, he looked back on his life during a conversation with NBC News:
“My life has been so lucky — I’ve been so fortunate in terms of health, which is really the basis of everything,” he said. “Your health and your energy is partially your doing, but partially accidental — genetic and accidental.”
As reported by Today, in his memoir, “Live Long and…: What I Learned Along the Way," William Shatner had some simple advice for his readers: Avoid smoking, stay active, eat clean, and sleep as much as needed.
“Don’t die. That’s it; that’s the secret. Simply keep living and try not to slow down,” the actor wrote.
