Widely known for appearing on TLC's super-popular reality television show, 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On, Jinger Nicole Vuolo, or commonly known as Jinger Duggar, discussed what it was like for her and her family to shoot a reality TV show. While Jinger Duggar and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, rewatched the premiere of 14 Children and Pregnant Again, which was released in 2004, on The Jinger and Jeremy podcast, she opened up and looked back on the time she and her family allowed cameras into their daily lives.

Jinger Duggar also talked about the preparation that went into filming the unique reality show and discussed the "crazy" routine her family followed. 14 Children and Pregnant Again revolved around the Duggar family, focusing on Jim Bob and Michele Duggar, the parents of their fourteen kids. The show that ran for multiple seasons premiered on the Discovery Health Channel. It documented the daily lives of the members of the Duggar family and also explored the challenges they faced.

Duggar remembered those times when she and her family had to face cameras in their home and shared their experiences. She said:

"We cleaned like crazy. Because like my mom always kept our house pretty clean — we had our chores. Our house was not terribly messy all the time. I mean, it would get messy, but then we'd always clean it up."

As Jinger Duggar continued, she went ahead and talked about certain specific things, like washing the baseboards. Duggar added:

"I just remember we cleaned the baseboards because we had white baseboards at our house. And I remember we had to scrub them very well, and our white walls, because they would get dirty. We would do that, but before [cameras] came."

The family that consisted of 14 children eventually became 19. The Duggars, being such a huge family, had their fair share of struggles and challenges raising and taking care of so many kids. Jinger Duggar, who herself is a mother of three, as she and her husband Jeremy welcomed their third child in March 2025, revealed how her parents would come up with random games just to make all the kids follow their rules during the time of filming. Duggar said:

"(My dad) realized some of the kids were not wanting to buckle. Whoever the first person was to say ‘click’ or something like that, I think that is how it goes, you would get a penny. And then that would add up over time, because every time you hopped in the van, it was like a game. It was really a game."

Duggar further added:

"They had a little running tally of that too for little chores that we would do, like cleaning out the van. We would get however much money they wanted to pay us for cleaning all the junk out of the van."
