While speaking to Today's Craig Melvin on September 5, Orlando Bloom, while promoting his new film The Cut, opened up about his split with Katy Perry.

Representatives for Perry and Bloom had confirmed the split on July 3, 2025, years after the two got engaged in December 2019.

When Melvin asked,

"There's been some personal changes in your life since you were here the last time. How are you doing?"

Bloom replied,

"I'm great, man. I'm so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter. You know when you leave everything on the field like I did in this movie? I feel grateful for all of it."

When talking about Perry, Bloom said,

"And we're great. We're going to be great. Nothing but love."

Bloom and Perry share a daughter, Daisy Dove, 4, while Orlando also shares a son, Flynn, 14, from his past relationship with Miranda Kerr.

More about Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's split

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's split was confirmed by their reps on July 3, after nearly nine years together. The two first met in January 2019 at a Golden Globes after-party. At the time of the split, a source, while speaking to People, noted that their relationship had been "breaking down":

"Their split is amicable. They got to a point where they feel there is no going back to a healthy relationship and that it's better to live separate lives. Katy doesn't take the split lightly. She's still doing great though."

During an appearance on KIIS FM's Kyle & Jackie O Show on September 3, 2025, Orlando's ex-wife Miranda Kerr broke her silence on his split with Perry, noting that they remain 'one big, happy family.'

The model mentioned that she had seen the two post-split:

"I actually just saw them both on the weekend. We were celebrating Daisy's birthday. We're one big, happy family. Katy is amazing. I love her. And Orlando obviously."

Before Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's reps confirmed the split, a source spoke to People on June 26. The source mentioned that Katy has "every intention of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with Orlando" since they share a daughter. The source also highlighted that the two have "been through a lot together" and there's still "mutual respect" between them.

As per the source, the two are "very much in touch" and are co-parenting their daughter, and for her sake "they're committed to keeping things amicable."
