Savannah Chrisley, the daughter of reality TV personalities Todd and Julie Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley, has been vocal in her efforts to have her parents freed from prison. She now acknowledges although that it won't be a smooth adjustment when they do go back home.
In an interview with her grandmother, she said:
"We're not promised tomorrow and [there's] nothing we can do about yesterday, and we can only live for today.”
Todd and Julie were sentenced to a combined 19-year jail term in 2022 after being found guilty of bank and tax fraud. Todd Chrisley received a 12-year sentence in a federal prison, while Julie Chrisley received a 7-year (84-month) sentence.
Julie and Todd both challenged their sentences. Julie was given a resentencing hearing, which gave her a fleeting optimism when Todd's appeal was rejected. That anticipation, however, was crushed in September 2024 when the judge decided to uphold her first sentence at FMC Lexington.
At the age of 27, Savannah Chrisley has assumed the responsibility of looking after her younger siblings and has emerged as the unofficial spokeswoman for the family. She recognized the reality of her parents' predicament and the challenges that lay ahead. Her Grandmother, who was beside her during the interview, mentioned that Grayson is leaving for the University of Alabama. She then said:
“Grayson going to college, And the sad part about that is you can never get those things back. They’re gone. They’re in the past. And that's why I think we have to, as a family, pull together, forgive and try to move forward, we're not promised tomorrow and [there's] nothing we can do about yesterday, and we can only live for today.”
Nanny Pam, what she calls her grandmother, said that she and her husband are old and have health issues, particularly of the heart:
“Harvey and I are old. We've lived over most of our life. I mean, hopefully we got another maybe ten years to go or so, but you never know. I just want my family to be ready when it's their time because we never know what time when God's gonna call us home.”
Savannah Chrisley then added:
"I agree with that, but I also — we know my viewpoint. Just because you're my family, if you act a fool, that don't mean I have to get along with you or be family with you. Y'all don't agree with that, but that's my viewpoint.“

To which Nanny Pam replied:
“Well, sometimes you have to love from a distance, Savannah, and if that's how you can do it right now is love from a distance, then do that. But I think when your mom and dad get home that there's gonna be a coming together of the family.”
Savannah, who has been frustrated with the duties of the family, said:
“There's going to be a lot of stuff that happens because when they come home, I have already told them that over the past two and a half years, I've figured it out. So if they come home thinking they're gonna rescue individuals and act like nothing's happened, then I'm out. I told them that and mama has said, ‘Well, that's not happening.’
Savannah Chrisley then went on to add:
“I said, ‘If we're going to actually all come back together, there needs to be an intensive, week-long therapy that we all go to and hash everything out. Because that's the only way that anything's gonna be resolved.”
To which her Nanny agreed.
