Former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan could not seem to hold his excitement for Donald Trump’s second term. During an interview with Fox News on January 21, 2025, Hogan was asked how he felt about it, to which he replied that he was stressed out. After engaging in a light-hearted banter, he said:
“Everywhere I go, all around everybody is so happy that we got America back. Everybody is elated that Donald Trump is our President but everywhere I go, nobody recognises me.”
The former wrestler then elaborated on how people would double-check whether he was Hulk Hogan. He blamed it on the suit he wore, saying it held him down. Hogan then suggested that if he wasn’t tired, he would rip off the suit, to which host Jesse Watters suggested he could.
From what seemed like an impulsive decision, he handed the mic to Watters and then took apart both sleeves of the suit, followed by the “Real American Beer” t-shirt to reveal the “Trumpamania” shirt he wore beneath. After grabbing the mic back, he said:
“We have got Trumpamania running in this country, brother. One nation under God. Jesse Watters, this is your world, brother.”

Watters then said a tuxedo couldn’t control Hulk Hogan. The wrestler thanked the host, saying he had a moment and had to do that. Watters commented that Hogan was one of the biggest icons of America who belonged to the President’s generation. Talking about his support for the President, Hogan said:
“It’s like when I was a kid and I could ride my bike around all night long until the street lights came on. It was like I used to be able to go to the movies and lock not like my bicycle up. We have our country back. We are going to get everything back to where it should be.”

Hulk Hogan also spoke at Donald Trump’s rallies
In October 2024, Hulk Hogan spoke at the President’s Madison Square Garden rally. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this was more like a dramatic return to a familiar venue from his wrestling days. He wore a red, orange, and yellow boa and waved the American flag.
He spat on the stage during his speech, struck classic wrestling poses, and referred to the audience as “Trumpomaniacs.” While delivering his speech, he dismissed accusations of extremism in the crowd and praised them as hardworking Americans.
Hogan also criticized Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, blaming her for inflation and accusing her of playing the victim while asserting that Trump is the only one capable of fixing the nation. The President also praised Hulk Hogan during his speech at the Republican National Convention in July 2024, saying:
“You know, they may call it, they may call that entertainment. I know about entertainment but when he used to lift a 350 pound man over his shoulders and then bench press him two rows into the audience, I said maybe entertainment but he is one strong son of a gun.”
In his speech at the same convention, Hogan endorsed the MAGA ideal and ripped off his shirt.
