Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua pays tribute to two friends who died in a fatal crash.

His close friends Sina Ghami and Latif "Latz" Ayodele had passed away in a car crash in Nigeria. Anthony Joshua was also in the car when the accident occurred. The boxer, since then, has opened up about his struggles with processing their deaths.
Anthony posted on Instagram on Thursday, "Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers. I didn't even realise how special they are. I'll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men."
He added, "100% it's tough for me, but I know it's even tougher for their parents. I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers."
He is now back in the UK after attending their funerals and is spending time recovering from the minor injuries he sustained. Ghami and Ayodele both died after a vehicle collided with a stationary truck near Lagos on Monday. While Joshua and another passenger survived the ordeal. The boxer was hauled out of the vehicle and then received treatment at a hospital.
People from the boxing community, including Richard Riakporhe, Abdullah Mason, Dalton Smith and Adam Azim, shared their condolences with him. According to the Ogun state police commissioner, who told ESPN, Joshua's vehicle burst a tyre, which led the driver to lose control and “swerve into the stationary truck parked along the road”.
Anthony posted two posts on his Instagram, one featuring his friends' families and the other a black and white sketch of both his friends that he lost in remembrance.
